This is course is for any adviser keen to understand how to ensure that relevant information is provided on a PIP2 form. It will be of particular interest to advisers who have, or wish to have, a role in helping with Personal Independence Payment claims. It is designed to enable advisers to understand what is important when using a PIP2 form to explain how a claimant meets the criteria for the benefit and to provide evidence that may be helpful in improving the client’s experience of the medical assessment. The Transitional Severe Disability Premium (TSPD) amount is designed to reduce the financial impact of a move to UC for claimants eligible for the Severe Disability Premium (SDP) in their legacy means tested benefits. This course is for advisers who advise, or may advise, clients on Universal Credit. The aim of the course is to identify claimants who may be able to claim the TSDP amount, and explain the routes claimants in specific circumstances may need to follow for this to be included in the UC award. This e-learning course using Zoom is for experienced local Citizens Advice advisers who sometimes deal with complex benefit queries concerning EEA nationals. You will need a broad understanding of the social security benefit system and preferably have some experience of the EU freedom of movement rules. This course does not look at benefit issues concerning non-EU nationals. It will provide advisers with an understanding of the issues that may be relevant when advising EEA nationals. This hands-on e-learning training using Zoom is for advisers who already have considerable experience in using the Quick Benefit Calculator and who know their way around the benefit system. It will build on the skills of the advisers to increase their knowledge of the software by working though more complex benefit entitlement calculations. You will need access to a copy of the latest version of QBC in order to complete the case studies. Training Fee applies.
