Benefits Update
Who is this course for?
This course is for staff and volunteers who have a good understanding of the benefits system, and who want an update on recent and future benefit changes.
Aims
It will update staff and advisers on legislative and guidance changes, and how these changes may affect clients who are supported by delegates and their organisation.
Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will have a greater understanding of:
- Temporary social security changes that were introduced in response to the pandemic and still remain in place
- Universal Credit updates
- Other benefit changes, recent and imminent
- Court case update
- Social policy issues to watch out for
A complete set of slides will be provided at the end of the course.
