This course is for advisers who are likely to be involved in assisting clients to claim Attendance Allowance. It is designed to enable advisers to understand what is important in using an Attendance Allowance form to explain how a claimant meets the criteria for an award of this benefit.

It will provide a good introduction to the rules of entitlement and the core elements that are payable in specific circumstances. It will also cover how to claim, and where to get further help and advice.

This e-training is for any staff or volunteers who advise on welfare benefits and/or support low- income households. The course will cover passporting from benefits, additional help with health costs, transport, child related costs and housing. The aim of the course is to raise awareness of extra help available to those on low incomes and where to find that help.
