This 2 hour course is for staff and volunteers who have a good understanding of the benefits system, and who want an update on recent and future benefit changes. It will update staff and advisers on legislative and guidance changes, and how these changes may affect clients who are supported by delegates and their organisation. Training fees apply.

This 3 hour introductory course, delivered via Zoom, is for any staff or volunteers who need to know about Universal Credit in order to support their clients and service users. It will provide a good introduction to the rules of entitlement and the core elements that are payable in specific circumstances. It will also cover how to claim, and where to get further help and advice. Training fees apply.

This course is for staff and volunteers who are helping clients with Universal Credit claims, and want to know more about who is treated as self-employed and how self-employment affects a Universal Credit claim. This course will equip staff and volunteers with greater knowledge of the specific rules and requirements for the self-employed in receipt of Universal Credit resulting in a better understanding of entitlement to the benefit and a stronger ability to resolve problems with awards. This course is for any staff or volunteers who advise on welfare benefits and/or support low- income households. The course will cover passporting from benefits, additional help with health costs, transport, child related costs and housing. The aim of the course is to raise awareness of extra help available to those on low incomes and where to find that help.

This course is for staff and volunteers who are helping clients with Universal Credit claims, and want to know more about the changes to Limited Capability for Work Related Activity coming into force in April 2026. This short (1hr) course will provide advisers with an overview of changes. It does not discuss specific LCW or LCWRA descriptors.  Training fees apply.
