Who is this course for?

This course is for benefits advisers who have experience of Universal Credit and want to know more about the income rules for Universal Credit entitlement. It will cover all non-earnings income rules.

Aims

It will equip you with greater knowledge of the income rules of Universal Credit resulting in a better understanding of entitlement to the benefit and resolving problems with awards.

Objectives

By the end of the course you will have covered topics such as:

• Whose income is included in a claim
• Which benefits count as income
• How pension income is treated
• Income from capital
• Income from trusts
• A brief look at student finance
