Who is this course for?

This course is for advisers who have a good knowledge of the welfare benefit system and who have access to the software but have not had the opportunity or time to get to know their way around it.

Aims

It will help advisers to achieve a better understanding of what the calculator can do to assist advisers with their work.

Objectives

At the end of this course you will:

  • understand how to make the most of the software in a structured session
  • become familiar with the screens and options that can be selected
  • understand how to complete a simple benefit check
  • be able to complete and save a simple “What if” calculation

Course Structure

The course consists of 2 training sessions a week apart.

The first session of 2 hours will be a demonstration of what you can do and how to do it. At the end of the first session the delegates will be emailed some exercises for them to work through, practicing their knowledge and building up their skills before the second session a week later.

The second session of 1½ hours will review how the delegates got on with the exercises with the opportunity to discuss any questions they have.

Delegates will need access to the latest version of the software during the 1st session. You will be asked to complete a case study during this session. The trainer will explain how to do this without leaving the Zoom training.
The software will also be needed between the two sessions in order for the case studies to be completed by delegates.
