Who is this course for?

This half day workshop is for advisers who already have experience in using the Quick Benefits calculator. The hands-on workshop will build on the skills of the advisers to increase their knowledge of the software by working though more complex benefit entitlement calculations. 

Aim

To help the adviser to achieve a better understanding of what the calculator can help them to do.

Objectives

  • Understand how to make the most of the software in a workshop session.
  • Have some time to work through selected examples involving changes of circumstances and exploring the impact on benefit entitlements.
  • To learn how to progress from legacy benefits to Universal Credit calculations.
  • Understand how to provide a comprehensive better off calculation.

Description:

The office is located at 39 High Street, Aldershot, GU11 1BH. The main bureau opens at 9.30am. If you are attending training at the offices and arrive before the opening time you should be able to gain access using a staff door which is to the right of the main door. There is a bell push marked “CAB training” or, if there is no answer, try the “CAB office” bell. Someone should be able to let you into the building and direct you to the IT suite.
