Who is this course for?

This course is for experienced advisers and supervisors who are looking to understand Universal Credit Managed Migration.

Aims

The course will provide an understanding of how Managed Migration will affect legacy benefit claimants. It will cover the Managed Migration process, who will be affected, transitional protection and how this can end, as well as discussing how advisers may be able to help claimants issued with a managed migration notice.

Objectives

At the end of the course delegates should have a better understanding of:

  • The managed migration process and relevant deadlines
  • The circumstances in which deadlines may be changed
  • The transitional protection available and who might benefit
  • The circumstances in which transitional protection ends
  • How transitional protection erodes
  • How to advise clients affected by Managed Migration

A complete set of slides will be provided at the end of the course.
