Limited Capability for Work and problems for claimants

Once Universal Credit is rolled out “Limited Capability for Work” will be the test for entitlement if claimants are unable to work due to illness or disability. This course will provide what advisers need to know about the test and securing benefits for clients in this situation. If you have recently attended “ESA – Problem Areas” then you probably won’t need to attend this course.

At the end of the course delegates will have a good understanding of:

  •  Contributory-based ESA rules of entitlement
  • The Work Capability Assessment test for ESA and Universal Credit
  •  What Claimant Commitment requirements may apply to someone who has Limited Capability for Work
  •  What to do if you have a negative decision on LCW and future claiming options
