Who is this course for?

Experienced advisers who are looking for an introduction and overview of Universal Credit.

 Aims

This course will provide advisers with a good outline of how this new means-tested benefit will be introduced, who is entitled, the claim process, claimant conditionality and how Universal Credit is calculated.

Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will have covered the following areas:

  • What benefits are replaced by Universal Credit
  • What the basic rules of entitlement are
  • An outline of what payments make up Universal Credit
  • What is claimant commitment
  • Who is likely to be better-off and who is could be worse-off
  • What are the potential problem areas with Universal Credit

Reigate Baptist Church is one mile south of Reigate town centre and adjoins Woodhatch Community Centre.  There is plenty of on-site car parking, including disabled spaces, but should it be necessary there is ample parking in neighbouring roads, but we would ask you please not to park in Sycamore Walk.
